1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using BudgetCPA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
BudgetCPA provides CPA exam preparation materials including practice questions, task-based simulations, and performance analytics. Our service is intended for educational purposes only.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription and Payments
BudgetCPA offers two paid subscription tiers: a monthly plan at $29 USD per month, and an annual plan at $199 USD per year. New users receive a 7-day free trial with up to 500 practice questions; no payment information is required during the trial. After the trial ends or the 500-question allowance is reached, accounts revert to the free tier (50 questions per month) until a paid subscription is started. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Refund eligibility is described in Section 9 below.
5. Refunds and Cancellation
Monthly subscriptions ($29/month): Monthly payments are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time through the Settings page or the Stripe Customer Portal; cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund the current month. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.
Annual subscriptions ($199/year): Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of the initial purchase, provided you have answered fewer than 1,000 practice questions during that period. Accounts that have consumed substantial content (1,000 or more questions) within the 30-day window are not eligible for a refund. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you retain access through the end of the paid year.
Free trial: The 7-day trial does not result in any charge and does not require payment information. If you do not start a paid subscription before the trial ends or the 500-question trial allowance is reached, your account automatically reverts to the free tier.
How to request a refund: Refund requests can be submitted through our contact form. Please include the email associated with your account. We aim to respond within one business day.
Chargebacks: If you have a payment dispute, please contact support before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account termination and forfeiture of access without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, questions, and materials on BudgetCPA are proprietary. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share any content without written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
BudgetCPA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that use of our service will result in passing the CPA exam.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
