Frequently Asked Questions
Discipline sections (ISC, BAR, TCP) are administered in the first month of each quarter in 2026 (January, April, July, October). Score release dates typically follow 2-3 weeks after each testing window closes. Check the official AICPA schedule for exact dates as they're published.
Core sections (AUD, FAR, REG) are available year-round and test foundational CPA knowledge. Discipline sections (ISC, BAR, TCP) are offered only in the first month of each quarter and allow candidates to specialize. You must pass all three core sections plus one discipline section.
Build buffer time into your plan. If you need a retake, you can't reschedule until scores release. For discipline sections with limited windows, a failed attempt in January means waiting until April. Study continuously so you're prepared for retakes if needed.
Absolutely—and you should. The wait time between testing and score release is perfect for starting your next section. Many successful candidates overlap their study, reviewing the recently-tested material while beginning the next section. Don't let wait time go to waste.
